I wanted to offer my recommendation for Always Best Care - Potomac. My mother has severe dementia and I have dealt with over 10 different agencies and over 40 caregivers in the past five years. This agency is, bar none, the best and most responsive I have EVER dealt with. They have built a wonderful team of loving, hardworking caregivers for mom, and that is hard to do. They work very hard to make sure your needs are met. Special Bonus: the president, Robin, is a virtual clearing house of information regarding eldercare. They truly want to help!

My sisters and I couldn't be happier with the care, services, insight and professionalism of Always Best Care. Their assistance to us in the emotional roller coaster we are on as our 90 year old mother's dementia progresses has been invaluable. ABC hires and trains courteous and professional caregivers who truly love what they do. The caregivers are patient and treat mom with respect. The staff monitors how mom is doing and provide oversight on a frequent basis. Their knowledge of dementia care and services and financial resources available for families has helped us immensely. We are so happy to have found Always Best Care. Last November, I suffered a compound ankle fracture and was completely non weight-bearing. As the primary helper for my husband who has Parkinson's, I needed to find a solution fast. I called Always Best based on a neighbor's recommendation. Within a short time, I had an in-home visit from their representative who listened carefully to me describe our needs and helped develop a forward looking plan. . The next day, Always Best sent an aide to our house. From the minute this young woman (Swikriti) came into our home, things got better, I could hardly believe what a good match Always Best had to us right from the start! She is energetic, pleasant, and respectful with a strong work ethic and a desire to help. Although I am now able to walk again, we continue to work with Swikriti as she is such a big help to us. Our experience with Always Best has been very position - from the initial assessment, to their front office staff, billing, and most of all, their fantastic aide.

My mother received services from ABC for about 2 years. I reached out to Robin (head of the agency) because Mom was struggling with her memory and other symptoms of dementia.
Always Best Care has wonderful caregivers and the staff was always available, kind, hard working and helpful. This refers to not only the caregivers, but their staff of nurses, doctors, receptionists, everyone. I could (and did) call day or in the middle of the night, and someone was always available to help me with my mom's issues. The caregivers were prompt, professional, hard working and really patient and kind.
My mom passed away last month with Advanced Alzheimer's disease. I feel good really about the final years of my mom's life, at home with all she loved most, and that includes all that Always Best Care has to offer.

I moved my parents, who have dementia, from a large retirement community to a group home. When I realized that the group home did not provide proper care for them, which resulted in both parents coming down with urinary tract infections simultaneously, 2 times in three weeks, I knew they needed to move. My father’s dementia had also escalated significantly and he became fearful of the caregivers, who had no prior experience caring for someone with advanced Alzheimer’s symptoms and their approach was not appropriate. ABC came to my rescue and immediately provided a wonderful male caregiver for my father from 4-8 PM, seven days a week, while she conducted a search to find the right place for my parents to move. She took into consideration our family’s financial limitations as well. Within a short period of time, we were able to move them to their current location where they are getting wonderful care, delicious food and ongoing bus excursions every other week! My father is no longer fearful of the caregivers and my mother is very content, as well. They have had no further urinary tract problems. ABC solved 2 challenges for me: 1) they immediately found the right caregiver for my father and 2) found the perfect location for my parents to be cared for properly. We needed to find care for my grandmother after a serious health crisis. Her care would be taking place across state lines, about 2 hours away from my home. I was referred to Dena at ABC by someone in my community. It turns out that she lives in the area where Gram would be placed. As a result, she was able to recommend a wonderful assisted living facility hat fit our specifications perfectly. We were able to tour the facility via Zoom while a family member toured with Dena in person.
